Fae was our very first Miniature American Shepherd, bred by Dunnellon’s Miniature American Shepherds, and she truly set the bar high. With her kind and gentle nature, she has been an incredible companion—especially with children. Trained as a Pets as Therapy dog, Fae brought comfort and confidence to young readers during school sessions, winning hearts wherever she went. Cuddly at home, she would happily spend all day snuggled up on the sofa, yet she was just as eager and spirited when flying around an agility course.
Fae’s talent shone in competition, where she ran at Grade 7 in agility. She qualified for the Novice Agility Cup at Crufts 2014, where she finished an outstanding 2nd place overall, and also claimed victory in the Grade 5 DINAs final in 2013. Always enthusiastic, Fae has passed down her love for agility to her puppies, who are now excelling in dog sports themselves.
Now happily retired when she was 9 years old, Fae enjoys life as a hiking companion and wise mentor, showing little Anja and Juniper the ropes of how to be just as perfect as she is.
