Anika, bred by Xion's Miniature Americans, is our cheeky red merle with a heart of gold. True to her mischievous side, she loves racing around with the other dogs, sneaking in kisses, and—on occasion—pinching a sock or two. At the same time, she has the sweetest cuddly nature, always nudging her nose under your hand for a head scratch.
Beyond her playful antics, Anika has proven herself a natural in agility. With a smooth, flowing jump and a calm approach to every challenge, she quickly excelled in the sport. She began competing in January 2015, and by February had already won into grade 4. That same year, she qualified for the Medium Novice Cup Semi Finals at the International Kennel Club Festival, placing 6th and securing her spot in the finals at Crufts 2016.
Since 2016, we’ve taken a step back from competitive agility while I pursued a career in veterinary medicine, but Anika remains every bit the spirited, affectionate, and unforgettable girl she’s always been.
