Hainan’s Miniature American Shepherds is a small, family-run kennel based in the heart of Gloucestershire. Our dogs are first and foremost beloved members of our family; we currently share our lives with eight wonderful Miniature American Shepherds: Fae, Anika, Mia, Anja, Ciara, Pearl, Juniper, and our handsome stud dog, Nyx.

We chose this breed because we wanted a compact, affectionate companion who would be deeply bonded with the family, while also being athletic, eager to please, and full of drive. These qualities made them the perfect fit, as I was actively competing in dog agility when we welcomed our first MAS. Fae reached Grade 7 and Anika Grade 5 before I took a step back from competing to pursue my career as a veterinarian.

Today, our dogs enjoy life as much-loved companions, spending their days exploring the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, going on adventures, and of course, enjoying plenty of cuddles at home. When we do breed, it is only with the intention of keeping a puppy ourselves to continue our family line. Each litter is raised in our home with care, love, and socialisation, ensuring every puppy begins life as a confident, happy dog ready to become a cherished member of their new family.
